– A real diva. It has a post and boot coldbug. Not posting beyond -49C (any voltage) and not booting 1.50v beyond -10C, 1.60v beyond -32C and 1.70v beyond -40C. Besides that only 1.x0v (1.60v, 1.70v etc.) can post. Validating at -35C to -22C at 1.675v to 1.875v HT 1.0x/5.0x all gave 4218MHz.
Great result! Which batch is it? Curious to see whether you can brake my records with this 6000+. Did you try another board besides the Crosshair II? I have the same problems with booting at other voltages than 1,x00V but thought this is a board problem.
Thanks. I am still disappointed tho. I had had hoped to break the Nr.1 CPU Frequency score, so close. It is 0837APMW, it can boot 3600MHz at 1.30v on water and 3700 at 1.375v.
Funny that you mention it. I am/was thinking of running another board. 1 other CPU (my 6400+) indeed has issues voltages as well, but my other 0837APMW did not from what I remember (need to retest). I did use a slightly older BIOS version before, so that could be it as well. I will be running other benchmarks in time, after 5 hours I called it a day.
