12 year and 4 months ago – overclockers.at live in Metalab, Vienna! Disk configuration: 4x Angelbird Crest Master 240 GB Raid-0 on LSI MegaRAID 9271-8i for GU, 2x Angelbird Crest Master 480 GB Raid-0 on Intel Z77 for VS, Angelbird SSD2go USB 3.0 disk for XP Bootup. Thanks to ASUS, Angelbird, Noctua, unITer & EK watercooling. Special thanks to Yamunsa for his knowledge to get the raid controller going.

You nailed it!

Forget LSI, when you are interested in good storage, i do 800+ gen usage with an Sempron on 1882ix :P And again, where is picture of your storage and real Setup? You never showed it my friend;)

December 8, 2012 at 1:54:04 AM UTC

good point, sub is missing some much needed pictures. Thought new rules states pictures of storage must be in submission...

December 8, 2012 at 2:46:45 AM UTC

No mention of storage picture is mentioned in the PC mark 05 rules so none is needed

December 8, 2012 at 3:00:11 AM UTC

Of course! New rules, an picture of real setup is requiered! :D

So i now want to see an picture of this guy!!!

We all Show we have storage and now its in the rules! This storage scores can be done with fancy Cache also, so show your storage or delete this score ;)

You nailed it!
No, my friend. WE nailed it! :celebration:

Regarding the storage pictures, I couldn't find ones now but we have a few from our preparations:

attachment.php?attachmentid=183313&thumb=750

attachment.php?attachmentid=183314&thumb=750

attachment.php?attachmentid=183315&thumb=750

It shows everything we used, but I guess it's not easy to see:

=> Four SSDs in Raid-0 connected to the raid controller (in front of the radiator, red SAS to SATA cable)

=> The SSD2go in every possible color. :D

=> Two SSDs in Raid-0 connected to the Intel Z77 raid controller (behind the radiator)

=> One system disk in the light blue drive bay

Edit:

Photos with a better overview of the system can be found here and here.

Really nice result Mat any idea on max bandwidth for the LSI.

I have some ATTO scores with more than 4 GB/s read and write with 8 SSDs. I will post them if you like. But depends very much on stripe size and virtual drive properties.

Thanks MAT solid controller for sure your General usage will be crazy when you decide to run 8 drives.
