Good luck everyone!
DDR1? Fuhgeddaboutit!
another warm up? =O
at least it´s final Ö_Ö
Need to find my treasure map.
I remember , i had buried a pentium1 pc somewhere οn a deserted island in the Aegean Sea.
Where's my shovel ?
Q6600? Don't have such modern stuff...
Another warmup?
I'm already overheating...
Looks like it's time to go fishing till u cycle all the junk yard
Arrggh! I just sold my last Q6600 last week!
I have a question about Pentium 1 PiFast. What sockets and CPU family is allowed? Does Pentium Pro allowed? Or only P54C, P54CS, P55C, Pentium OverDrive and Pentium Mobile (Tillamook) allowed in this test?
In my opinion , NO.
Pentium Pro was a 6th generetion cpu (P6 architecture) along with the Pentium II cpu's.
Finally!
Some Socket 754 action I can dig!
Maxxmem will be most interesting I think.
How are we supposed to compete with older scores done with v1.82?
Wow, didn't even notice the version.
If , we are not allowed to use version 1.82 , then there is no-way we can come close to those scores.
Wasn't there a latency bug in 1.82?
I'b be all in for dumping the current subs in the comp and just using the current version (2.01) to keep everybody on a level field.
Yes, there was a latency bug in some of the versions, probably 1.82.
Didn't test, but it appeared when you boot at higher clocks and then clock down the fsb a notch or two within OS.
Rules on hwbot say we should use the latest official version, which seems to be 2.01, but on the hwbot site 1.95 is linked.
It seems these records will never be broken.
I'm already close to the top scores, but only with the old version.
It's impossible with newer versions.
If the version has a known bug then the subs should be removed, seems reasonable
I agree. Being that only us three have subs in now, we should get the rule clarified by MM and save the hassle later, if we're all in agreement.
Personal opinion, and I will enforce it unless told otherwise by staff: The minimum version to be used should be the one linked on site (1.95), although I would recommend latest version to avoid altercations.
If it were up to me I would delete 1.82 as well, but this benchmark can be latency bugged anyway, no matter the version
Thanks for responding.
Confirmed. No reason to use bugged apps. The rules page also stated "latest version", which V1.82 is not.
I adjusted the rules page to reflect this: http://hwbot.org/news/1592_application_19_rules
I run maxxmem and freez the system.
even @ default clocks?
Yes!
Windows 7?
No,windows xp sp3 and s939 configuration.I reinstall the system,but run and freez.
did u try other rams on same system?
yes,but dual chanel always freez.Single chanel good.
Maybe IMC is half dead?
Also the high-priority mode often causes troubles .
Five cpu,mobo the problem.
Just wanted to pop in and say I love these little Team Cup warm-ups! I've been out of the house over the past number of weeks due to renovations, so have been unable to participate in the March or April warm-ups, but I would like to lend a voice of support for doing them again before next year's Team Cup too. Cheers!
yeah, especialy because of the cheap and special hardware.
I agree with the two above me.
Classicplatforms is killing it! Lots of great DFI mb in this comp too.
For now. Fat lady ain't here yet and there's plenty of people here that are more than capable of laying waste to some of those scores.
Where is Russia team ? Veld has a winter sleep ?
I really don't understand Maxxmem, I got really really low score (>300) and I get the same running 11x240 as 11x270 (exactly the same). Running SLI-DR with Opty 180 and BH-5 at 2-2-2-5-1T. All other benchmarks shows correct scores.
11x270 it's windows boot clock? or use clockgen?
Oops, I thought the competition ends after midnight.. I'm at work now so there's no chance to rebench and I don't even have the 740 maxmem screen with me. Fail!
I've tried both. Got a slightly higher score when setting clocks in BIOS, but still a bit from what I "should" have
Marquzz-san, I think you should try another CPU
Congratulations to all teams ! It was really nice to see Classicplatforms producing many solid scores !
Sorry about the sandbagging , but we had to win this 3rd round also .
:D
Congratulations to all teams
kotori MaxxMem and I.nfraR.ed SuperPi - 32M is great results
Thanks to all teammates crustytheclown sofos amdnord pastelidis gorilakos stelaras
everybody warm now? ok lets finally begin the team-cup
congrats to all teams especially to classicplattforms for leading nearly the whole april! :celebration:
and of course to hwbox hellas für winning the tripple
Great job HwBox Hellas OC Team!!
Congrats Everyone! We are warm now!
Congrats to Hellas for the third warm-up win!
However we will not leave you win the real deal so easily
Congratulations to HwBox Hellas OC team!
Congrats to all the participants.
It was a pleasant and fun cup.
Congrats to the winning team (3 in a row) of Hwbox.
:woot:
It was very interesting contest )) Waiting for something like this with very old HW, and modern, with crazy competition like SuperPI 32M on AMD Venice, etc.
Hellas, always brutal to compete against. Good job. Congrats.
@ Stelaras- sandbag is not an issue with us my friend. We run what we bring and hope we bring enough.
What's your paypal account ????
:D
PS . Great job man ! I have to admit that many of your scores give me troubles !
Thank you Mr.Scott .
In my opinion sandbagging causes troubles only when the other team didn't max out their hardware . It's like benching on air/water when you should have benched subzero .
Overall this three month competition was an amazing school for all of us . We learned a lot of forgotten things about old hardware & tweaks .
Regards , Stelios
Crazy results again. You guys are killing it!
i´ve been warm since the three warm-ups, but im cooling down each day... where is the team-cup?
Just a little break so everyone can relax, the real Team Cup will start soon!
It starts on 15th
And so it's the 15th...
I thought it would start together with the next Pro OC round, but I don't have any information about it.
Probably referring to something Massman said, but I don't remember anymore.
Perhaps just a speculation from my side...
i just want to know wich hardware is needed and if there are any stages for me Ö_Ö
benchmarks i like the classics 3D mark 01 and super pi best
Hope it starts soon, summers coming...
Hey guys,
Sorry for the delay, Computex stuff is taking over my day at the moment. Almost ready with the Team Cup ...
All that warmup and now I'm getting cold...
and outside it´s gonna be warmer each day
the weather becomes to good to sit at home and bench
Ekhem...
whats about another warm up until team cup is ready?
Last year team cup was in April... It's time to start it...
almost ready, hum?
and i bet when team cup at least starts, there will be no stage for me
i´m curious what hardware will be needed Ö_Ö
Tick tock tick tock...
I will wait patiently
We're all waiting...
what´s the problem? if u have no idea what to bench we can make suggestions. what´s about this?:
stage 1: geforce 3d-mark 01; geforce 1 to gtx700/titan
stage 2: radeon 3d-mark 03; radeon 7k to r9
stage 3: pentium wprime 32: pentium 1 to pentium haswell
stage 4: athlon super pi: athlon, athlon xp, athlon64... to athlon richland
stage 5: 3DMark - Ice Storm Unlimited - fullout
there is something for everybody, isn´t it?
