please tell us this isnt a preview of the actual team cup? who still has this stuff?

I like the idea of using older hardware, but this old? I'm hoping it's not a preview of the real thing too

old? only k7 an pentium II are old, for the other stages u need the newest hardware...

I just think something like K10 and Core2 would be great. Still old, but cheap and easy to find.

Other than the "spirit" there is no connection between the warm-up competitions and the actual Team Cup.

@robbo2: i like the idea of changing the required hardware often, so there is no binned hardware and everybody has the same chance to win.

I think this year TeamCup will include Ati (Radeon) subcompetition like the Nvidia last year and most probably there will be hwbot prime subcompetition .

yeah there aren´t to much current manufacturer of gpu...

because of that i like the classic competitions with non-nvidia/amd...

Its good to have a competition that doesn't require the usual binned newest generation stuff. Plenty of other competitions like that. Besides your Team Points are calculated by all your hardware, no need to turn this one into who has the best sponsorship.

Tell me about Via SuperPI 1M {LIMITATIONS} Only use Via processors. Can I run SuperPI on Cyrix CPU? (Historically Via bought Cyrix), or only one way to use VIA C3 and VIA C7 cpu? Ths.

"Single Core" is one of the benchmark settings of Geekbench. You can run with all cores enabled!

what says cpu-z to your cyrix III? normaly it´s automaticly detectet as via c3. so there should be no problem...?

The result moderators are pretty active. If you spot a wrong submission, just hit the report button and they will take care of it .

You actually just have to fix the bug that everyone can submit with everything in the pentium II stage

Submittee my score for the via stage. No where near the record but it'the best I'm gonna do!

One question about this competition. So I have in test with CPU "A" result "A". I want to improve this result "A", so I've got with CPU "B" result "B" where "B" is better then result "A". And I will upload this result "B" in the same test. Does system automatically deleted result "A" or I must do it manually or something else?

If your score B beats score A, then the system will automatically only account for Score B. Score A will still be on the system but for the contest only Score B will be recognized

in that stage has a cheap phenom II with gtx260 good chances
