Too bad it stats the day I go on vacation and I promised my girlfriend: Okay you won, no hardware on the beach ... Have fun guys

July 9, 2012 at 9:46:34 AM UTC

Oh, going on a 1,5m vacation are you?

July 9, 2012 at 9:50:10 AM UTC

only 3 weeks :P and after that I will have even more work and my hardware is still not at the same location I am xD

That's a shame. :nana:

Have fun on the vaca Chris. :)

July 9, 2012 at 11:18:04 PM UTC

Thanks, have fun on the competition guys :D

July 9, 2012 at 11:28:05 PM UTC

You can't beat me on DDR anyway, so...not a big deal :P

July 9, 2012 at 11:49:53 PM UTC

You can't beat me on DDR anyway, so...not a big deal :P

I'll give you a go. You know I'm always close. ;)

July 12, 2012 at 4:09:42 PM UTC

so is the comp going to be highest clock freq in each class ? simple as that ?? or we going to use a bench like maxx mem ?

July 15, 2012 at 5:57:57 PM UTC

thats only here or cpu-z 1.61 is bugged and doesn't detect fsb and memory clock (using DDR2 and GA-P35-DS3 board)? 1.60 works great, only 1.61 bugged...lol

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2439862

EDIT: found this (http://hwbot.org/forum/showpost.php?p=185628&postcount=78) and now is all ok, let's start to bench :D

July 18, 2012 at 5:09:00 AM UTC

nevermind....

July 20, 2012 at 2:47:22 PM UTC

No ES cpu right?

July 20, 2012 at 3:11:51 PM UTC

Correct.

July 23, 2012 at 10:11:02 AM UTC

the new version of cpu-z doesn´t work on DFI LANPARTY DK 790FXB :( old version give right values, the new version (just new downloaded) just gives trash values -.-

July 24, 2012 at 5:57:19 AM UTC

Better let ney know http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?p=187334#post187334 :(

July 24, 2012 at 8:04:59 AM UTC

done.

why can´t they just let the last two versions of cpu-z validateable?

a team mate has already lost a 6,9 ghz result for his phenom II because they changed just a few days before the version and he couldn´t validate his files -.-

July 24, 2012 at 10:40:02 AM UTC

Ask him to send the file to Franck, he can upload it manually. At least he will if it's clear that it's not bugged.

July 27, 2012 at 8:14:02 PM UTC

it's very stupid idea that we must attach screenschot to memory clock stage. Scores have always been done with f7 button and it's only fair.

July 27, 2012 at 8:34:09 PM UTC

you had only to read rules before. I rebenched my sdr result just beczuse of background and screenshot. Screen is needed to avoid old scores and I appreciate this.

July 27, 2012 at 8:36:05 PM UTC

Not entirely stupid. Rules are determined by the competition and you're not competing directly for hwbot rankings, you're competing in the "Team Cup". The "side effect" is that these scores also go into hwbot rankings.

Yeah, you're sacrificing some MHz because of the screenshot, but you can always continue and make a highest possible validation (on the edge) just outside of the competition. Don't see how the screenshot rule is an obstacle for that.

Just ease yourself and use one of the many lightweight screenshot captures, so you don't bother saving it with paint every time.

August 14, 2012 at 8:36:43 AM UTC

Sorry to be late guys, didn't have time this week-end to try debug CPU-Z on s370. But I took the rig with me, I am on it now. I will send all the stuff to CPUID as soon as possible.

Hope we manage to do something

EDIT: Done

August 16, 2012 at 3:46:01 AM UTC

Nicely done Christian, works like a charm.

August 16, 2012 at 4:55:37 PM UTC

Which sdram will be the best? Mtec, infineon, spectek, silcom, twinmos, pqi, ncp? Which one? Is there anything else?

My crucial mt16lsdt3264ag-133b1 can't beat 176mhz on 3.4v - tusl2-c

August 16, 2012 at 6:12:34 PM UTC

lottery. I have 2 similar ncp sticks with same chips/model number. One can do 2-2-2-7 170, another can do only 150 with the same timings. Look for tonicom pc150 and other bga sticks. Also try 3.95v on memory - some sticks may get boost.

August 16, 2012 at 6:23:33 PM UTC

This week-end will be binning time, 336 SDRAM modules to test and sort for high frequency this time @ 3-3-3 not 2-2-2 like last time :D

August 16, 2012 at 7:27:17 PM UTC

I will have about 35 SDRAM modules :D

Someone know how to vmod mem on tusl2-c? I had 3.4v only :/

August 16, 2012 at 7:32:51 PM UTC

ou can go up to 3.6v via jumper. But to go higher you need to vmod yeah, don't have it in mind atm.

August 16, 2012 at 9:14:04 PM UTC

via jumper on tusl2-c can go up to 3.4v but it's about ~3.5v :>

August 16, 2012 at 9:35:34 PM UTC

ha, on both my CUSL2-C and TUSL2-C I have the jumper: 3.3-3.4-3.6 and I actually read 3.6v with the DMM and into the BIOS hw_monitor

August 16, 2012 at 11:06:46 PM UTC

Okay, u right :D

3.65v on TUSL2-C :P

But maybe it can be higher by vmod? It will help u think?

August 17, 2012 at 3:55:07 AM UTC

No need to mod - just short all those 4 pins together to get 3.95v. The problem would be "cold start" - it won't post if you make this before post. So you have to short all of them after post is complete. I normally use 2 jumpers to short 1-2 and 3-4 and start the system - and after system starts I short these 2 jumpers with a wire.

August 17, 2012 at 8:05:28 AM UTC

Thanks mate :)

will sue ebay for not notifying me there was a PC166 for sale :D

Lol. Just scanned e-bay here for PC166 SDRAM. Found 1 stick. Bought for $2.99 shipped. :D

August 19, 2012 at 4:28:44 PM UTC

-.- will sue ebay 2 times then, if I look for PC166 .co.uk, .de, .fr .com even if I tick the WorldWide stuff I find nothing and you guys found two...

See you supporting me in court :D

August 19, 2012 at 4:42:49 PM UTC

It was in Polish auction :P

August 19, 2012 at 7:48:43 PM UTC

Bought the GA-EP45-UD3R

August 19, 2012 at 8:01:57 PM UTC

We can't find this board in Poland :/.

Biostar is good too, but we can't find it too.

August 19, 2012 at 8:20:00 PM UTC

Yeah, very hard to find these boards here as well.

August 19, 2012 at 9:53:29 PM UTC

I have one, might auction it soon.

August 22, 2012 at 6:04:25 PM UTC

I.nfraR.ed you are safe buddy, I just can't manage to get my TCCD working well on the DFI LP UT NF4 Expert. And my two Ultra-D arrived dead from ebay, my Abit board I don't think she will be competitive :D.

WIll try some more time on the expert but already spent 8 hours rying several memory, bios, cpu. Not even 300 MHz -.-'

August 24, 2012 at 12:06:58 PM UTC

WIll try some more time on the expert but already spent 8 hours rying several memory, bios, cpu. Not even 300 MHz -.-'
Same Problem here. My Ultra-D does nearly 290 Mhz an then it's over.

Same CPU and RAM on my A8N SLI do 350 MHz, and the Ultra-D was at 305 MHz 3 months ago. But now there's no way. -.-

Does anyone have an idea what could be that?

August 24, 2012 at 12:47:10 PM UTC

Ulta-D should be easy, you just need right BIOS and right bios settings, it's try and fail ;)

August 24, 2012 at 5:30:13 PM UTC

Haz Socket 462 can magic DDR?

Naw? Sad.

Coming soon may also mean in 2-3 years :P

Not sure about WR with edo but as always I will do my best.

August 24, 2012 at 6:01:20 PM UTC

as said, i hope cpu-z bug with not showing clock on aladin 5 chipset boards will be solved. they clock better than the mvp3 ones. :)

August 24, 2012 at 6:06:20 PM UTC

I will tell you the trick as soon as I can, last time managed to read cpu freq on aladin 5. but need to pick up my socket7 rig in france before.

August 24, 2012 at 6:17:56 PM UTC

ok, thx.

but cpu freq and fsb is not the problem. it's the mem freq. :D

August 24, 2012 at 6:21:31 PM UTC

ho, tought it was fsd related, hum, then I need to work on it with frank to debug

Thanks so much Christian!

Ich flashed an other BIOS and now it's working fine. :)

@RedCobra: Nice one! :D

second folder - Geil or RipjawsZ ?

August 25, 2012 at 9:26:34 AM UTC

Not done yet, my use another manufacturer, depend if the memory is good or not.

August 25, 2012 at 2:17:25 PM UTC

On 1:1 div i can run my spectek 189mhz -> cpu can't get higher

On div 2:3 i can't run over 182mhz.

WTF?

hum, seems like to take all WRs is not that easy, just bought for 600 € of comp gears (mems, motherboards). I just hope that they arrive before the 31, that I have time to go back to france pick up the hardware and I ordered enough LN2 xD.

August 26, 2012 at 8:38:56 PM UTC

i have 3 sticks SDRAM , all do 183 on Tualatin. After change to Coppermine final resuls is Goodram-183, Samsung-185 and SILCOM-189MHz.

I test only 2 pair of RDRAM, 1066. 2x256MB@590, 2x128MB ECC@602.

I end MemClk stage.
