Should be a good competition and a great way to show off the new 3DMark!. Not to look at the gift horse and kick him in the balls but I find it disturbing that to enter the contest you need a MSI Z77 motherboard when all of the prizes are MSI Z77 motherboards.

I guess this contest will be for the fame, fortune and hand-me-downs. ^^

Sadly no MSI Z77 in my box of hardware so, I'll just have to sit this one out. *grabs popcorn*

Agreed. I've never understood these competitions. If they want to get people to use MSI, the way to do so is to give a board/GPU to the winner that doesn't already have an MSI board/GPU. Then maybe they'll use it and become MSI customers.

Agreed. I've never understood these competitions. If they want to get people to use MSI, the way to do so is to give a board/GPU to the winner that doesn't already have an MSI board/GPU. Then maybe they'll use it and become MSI customers.

Same idea here. Would indeed be better to allow all kinds of boards. But on the other hand. If you want to join you need to buy a board (+1 user). If you win, you can sell the board or give it to a friend (+1). End result for MSI: +2 users.

Don't have an MSI so no luck. Maybe I should consider buying one......... +1;-)

According to a trusty source , If things have not been changed much since the last build, it should be a clear win for 7970 :D

But we'll see how the final version performs when it is released on the 4th

actually UNFAIR is the word; I understand MSI board and MSI vcard .. but does it have to be "latest" MSI board ? what the ... a chance to win a Z77 board, if you already have a Z77 board LOL

You're in the same boat as me, I'd participate if it didn't have the motherboard requirement, seems kind of silly to buy yet another Z77 board when Haswell is so close. I've got both 680 Lightnings and 7970 Lightnings but no MPower.

lol, it would be somewhat strange having a competition celebrating the launch of a new FM benchmark and having 99% of the results invalid for the FM HOF results due to no tesselation.

Yup. It looks like you might actually have a shot if you have the MSI stuff since no one is really participating.

There's 25 days left, the LN2 folks will show up in another 24 days or so

What contest here hasn't resulted in LN2 use?

Even the low / fixed clock stuff goes to LN2! (On the ram, often)

FYI - it's Chinese New Year holiday this week, so no one is working in the headquarters of MSI. we will announce the lucky draw winner next week (but of course the lucky draw entry pool is closed now).

son of bi0tch, I cant even get passed test 1 at stock usually it freezes in the opening frame or will fail 5 seconds in with frozen screen and frames will still be climbing.

I can run it on def Maybe tomorrow I will start getting serious

so pretty much, gt2 just decides to run at a random frame rate lol? difference of 15 frames with just rerunning on air...

I think I might just bow out...this bench needs some patching imo
