Great mobo for the $$. This was a first pc build for me so I wanted something I could afford that offered what I needed. I bought a Ryzen 3 1300x and I'm able to get a stable 3850mhz overclock. You will have to update the UEFI if you want to clock your memory properly. I'm using a single G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8GB 2800mhz.If you do plan on overclocking, the only problem I had was were the Clear CMOS jumper is located. It's just underneath the PCI Express where your graphics card goes and you definitely need to take that off to clear it.Other than that, the board is great looking and was great for the budget I had for my first build.

Update #2 - Today is April 18, 2022 and I have been running this motherboard with a 1rst gen Ryzen 3, overclocked since day ONE, since building the pc in 2017, when Ryzen was very first released. That's FIVE years ago & I have experienced NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER. Period. I have moved on, but the wife still uses this every single day for web surfing, email, Youtube & playing Facebook games. It will do older games too, again, I built it in 2017. Just wanted to set the record straight from alot of reviews from people who obviously don't know anything about building computers, acceptable failure rate on electronic items or evidently how return policies work.

      ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Super experience, meets & exceeds every expectation I had. I didn't even realize it came with an M.2 slot, which, in case you didn't know, M.2 is a WICKED FAST storage option, making SSDs look like mechanical hard drives by comparison. It's literally as easy as install the components on the board, put the board in the case, hook up the various wiring, boot up the machine. It starts up and shows a screen saying to select something to boot to, so you stick the Windows 10 USB stick in and reboot. Once THAT'S done, run the driver disc that comes with the ASRock motherboard and FINISHED! Working computer, fresh as a daisy. ^_^

Plus - and this is one of my favorite features of the ASRock AB350M-HDV motherboard - the BIOS pages which can be accessed before the loading of Windows by pressing F2, make overclocking as simple as clicking 'auto' over to 'manual' and putting in the speed you want the processor to run at. Save & Exit. Easy! I own an AMD Ryzen 1200 cpu, which runs normally at 3.1 GHz with a boost of 3.4 GHz(bought along with this motherboard and everything else to build a complete new system). The next cpu in the teir is the Ryzen 3 1300X, which runs at 3.5 GHz with a boost of 3.7 GHz... using the SUPER-EASY overclocking method listed above, I have been running my Ryzen 3 1200 at 3.5 GHz for over a month now, with just the stock cooler that comes with the cpu. No hiccups, no anomalies, runs smooth as butter. Thanks ASRock!

UPDATE: Today is May 9, 2020 and I have been running my Ryzen 3 1200 overclocked at 3.5Ghz on this motherboard for almost 3 years now & I have had ZERO issues!!! Great job AMD & Asrock!

Just used this in my first build, and am satisfied. A few notes:

      - The rear panel insert that comes with the mobo is flimsy; very flimsy.
      - I recommend checking the vendor's website to ensure your RAM is compatible. I picked up some Corsair DDR4 RAM, and it turned out to not be compatible with this board. Had to replace it with lower clock speed G.Skill.
      - Only 2 chassis fan connectors; so, had to end up getting a splitter. Not a big deal, but forewarned is forearmed.

      EDIT (10/25/2017):

      - I neglected to mention that the ethernet adapter did not work out-of-the-box. I had to use a USB->ethernet dongle for initial connectivity. The port worked, but it failed to retrieve a valid IP via DHCP, and static failed to connect to the internet. I updated drivers, and the port worked correctly.

Asrock delivers again. This is a niche board, only 4 pin power so limited over clocking but has Video ports. I paired this with a Ryzen 5 2400G for an HTPC. Don't need much (if any) over clocking. Bios updates are easy, and got a POST on the first try. Zero problems and great BIOS. Asrock continues to amaze me as a system builder. This is easy to get going for a Ryzen build.

Very good for the money. Paired this mobo with the Ryzen 3 1200(non x) and overclocked it to 3.8ghz without a problem with the help of Tech Yes City youtube tutorial video on overclocking the r3 1200.

3 Stars is appropriate for this motherboard. You can OC, so that's a plus. CPU socket is nice and easy. I almost had a heart attack building with this thing thinking my RAM was incompatible because it wouldn't lock correctly. Turns out you just have to apply so much force the motherboard bends and looks like it's about to snap. Other than that, no issues.
