I will say this the motherboard is really nice very beautiful and the Futures are amazing easiest motherboard I've ever had to overclock. That being said being as new as it is it has its fair share of problems I had to wipe the system multiple times to get the thing to work properly other than that make sure you do a proper install of everything and you've a meticulous especially if you're upgrading. If it wasn't for the hassle it would be a five star. And it's not lower because of how much it features. The four-star is the perfect rating for this motherboard right now. All their gigabyte should do a better job about making it easier to update the BIOS it is a hassle and it's not this motherboards fault. Otherwise it's a very nice motherboard and I do recommend it especially for a new PC build.

It has been about a month now since I finished my new build and so far i can say this is a perfect board. I was gifted this so my personal opinion wont be as biased towards the price but the board itself. I loaded this thing up with a i5-6600k water cooled with a H110GT, 16gbs of tridentz pc 3200 ram, a 970 gtx, a m.2 ssd stick(amazing), all being powered by a tx 750watt PSU inside of a NZXT switch 810 (i purchased the case a year ago incase i couldnt upgrade right away). everything external plugged in with no issues, so many ports ! keyboard, mouse, external hdd, and my lil usb driver for my desktop mic and headphones, all work perfectly fine at the fullest level. we're going from hdmi on the 970 to a 7.2 channel 4k av receiver with some nice kickin tweeters and big boomin sub, goes right into my monitor with no issue and i can easily switch back and forth between monitor and TV whether if im watching movies or a show or playng a game or listening to music ! let me tell you this board is small but has a big personality. and it shows, the little heart of my operation. everything was easily attachable and booted up just fine. never before have I had such a powerful build, anything I try to do from browsing the web with multiple windows and processes running, to playing a game at max settings, is done with no issue and I have yet to do any overclocking. plenty of room left to add another GFX card in the future and easily cleanable. if your hesitant but your ready to get something to last let me be the one to say go for it.

I bought this MoBo after the Asrock MoBo I bought arrived dead from Newegg. I'm glad it did though, because this is a great MoBo. It came with a lot more outputs for peripherals than the Asrock did for the same price, and all of the USB slots are 3.0, while the Asrock had only 3. It also has a USB C slot. It looks great and the build quality seems much better then the Asrock.

Probably the thing I appreciated the most for this MoBo was that it was much easier to plug in all the components, compared to the Asrock. I had no issues or instances where I could no fit a component because it was physically blocked by another component. For instance, with the Asrock, one of the PCIE slots did not line up at all with the PCIE expansion slots for my case, so I had to use the PCIE slot that I didn't want to use. This slot was too close to the CPU heat sink and was blocked by it, so I had to undue the heat sink and turn it around into a position I wasn't fond of. Even plugging in fans and power cables into the MoBo was a huge pain in the ass.

This MoBo was infinitely easier. The PCIE slot lunged up perfectly with my case and has sufficient room to work in, even with my huge hands. And from what I've read, gigabyte has excellent customer support, should you need it.

For what it's worth, I ended up going with this MoBo over asking for a replacement for the Asrock after reading that gigabyte is known for giving you more for what you pay. For instance as a mentioned before, many more USB ports and all of them are 3.0.

This board worked perfectly out of the box. I installed a Western Digital 512GB M.2 drive and loaded a new Windows 10 install from CD with no issues at all. The RAM is Corsair RGB 3600 mhz and the processor is an Intel i7 7700. I am using an older Gigabyte R9 290 graphics card but the system plays Project Cars at full detail with no issues at all. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and couldn't be happier.

Using the Corsair Link utility I am able to monitor the temps of the board at various locations as well as the CPU, GPU and RAM itself. It runs fast and cool. I switched to ASUS boards about 15 years ago and this is my first venture back into Gigabyte and I couldn't be happier. Some people complain about the yellow/orange LED strip but I have no problems with it as I built the PC to use not look at, I have a monitor for that.

One final note, it is smaller than the ASUS board I replaced using only 6 screws instead of 9.

Owning a computer store I get the chance to see many motherboards. We also create mining machines. This motherboard is a really good one. It has a lot of features that you don't normally see at the $104 price point it was when I got it. It has two internal USB 3.0 headers, room for 4 sticks of RAM and even a USB C Port on the backplate. Also it has room for 3 video cards directly on the board, and room for 1 video card and 5 additional riser boards for those interested in mining, this is the first motherboard where I have seen it set up like this, where there is room for the card on the board and not blocking any of the PCI-E slots.

I bought 4 of them, and installed them all into computers right away. All of them worked great the first time. All of them saw 6 cards right away.

Pros: The board was easy to set up and get running. It has 16 gigs of DDR4 3000 which shows up and works fine at rated speed. Using an Intel Core i3 6320 sixth generation processor. Running an Nvidia 1060 GTX. Best of all running a Samsung 950 Pro M2 type SSD mounted right on the MB itself. All work great together. I use this PC mostly for streaming and internet surfing. Wife uses it for homeschooling and research. I had already upgraded the previous 5 year old PC with a Samsung Evo 850 Pro and the Nvidia GTX 960 which made it much quicker. After building this unit it really is hard to tell I gained anything. Testing confirms it is much quicker though.

Update: I had given this board two stars a while back. I thought it had died. I forgot about this review. Turns out the Intel i3 6320 was partially dead. The video part was bad. It tested good with intel's software processor test. After RMA to intel I got a quick replacement. This board is back working great.

This motherboard is a great enthusiast entry point motherboard for gaming. It has SLI support which allows for multiple Nvidia graphics cards, and also supports overclocking, M.2 drives, and other higher end features. One problem I have with this is slight audio interference when plugged into the rear IO audio ports and running a demanding application. This can be solved by using the front panel ports, or a sound card. This motherboard is considered old today, as now we have Z370 boards and Coffee Lake architectures, so make sure there's a good reason to get this board.
