Direct Ticket to MOA Grand Final (X4) MSI 1x AM, 2x EMEA, 1x APAC

Does this means lucky draw winner gets to particpate in the grand final?

May 5, 2013 at 12:30:57 PM UTC

It means the winner of the online qualifier gets to participate in the grand final.

May 5, 2013 at 2:29:24 PM UTC

The reason i am asking this is that "Direct Ticket to MOA Grand Final (X4) MSI 1x AM, 2x EMEA, 1x APAC" was listed together with the lucky draw prizes and there should be 3 winners from each region instead of just 1x AM, 2x EMEA, 1x APAC.

May 5, 2013 at 4:15:18 PM UTC

There are 4 direct tickets from the online Class 1 qualifier event: 1 from AM, 2 from EMEA and 1 from APAC.

i cant submit my result

it says:

"Oops. Something went wrong.

We could blame this on you but it`s most likely our crappy coding skills. You could try again or nudge our developpers for fixing this."

What benchmark stage.

This has to be fixed ASAP.

3dmark 11 stage 2....

tried to submit again and still had the same message

In that case can the below description be edited in http://HWBOT.org/competition/moa_ww_2013/

"The top 15 overclockers from different classes and regions will be invited to the MOA 2013 Grand Final. Only the highest ranked participant per country (for each round) will get a ticket to Grand Final. The maximum amount of participants from the same country in the Grand Final is 3: 1x Class A Qualifier, 1x Class A Semi-Final, 1x Class B)."

Edit 1 :Though after reading a bit more, now I am confused, direct entry to Grand Finals is what you said "1 from AM, 2 from EMEA and 1 from APAC." but Top 15 in the semifinals (all regions) also qualify for Grand Finals?

Edit 2 : Version for fireextreme, 1.0 or 1.1 is also ok?

May 7, 2013 at 8:02:29 AM UTC

The top-15 qualify for the Semi-Final round in July. There are more Grand Final tickets in the semi-final, but to be allowed to participate in that one you need to participate in the qualifier round first.

Fire Strike Extreme: any version :)

560 ti 448 allowed or not in B class?

May 7, 2013 at 8:06:32 AM UTC

Yup, allowed!

thanks for the clarification

You in for Class B?

Seems like there are quite some people interested in Class B. Good news! If Class B proves to be more popular than Class A, we have a solid foundation to prove to MSI management that low(er) cost qualifications are a good thing :).

:) I hope that in future there will be the same format, Class A & Class B cause it's always nice to have a choice (but with reasonable amount of tickets - not too low in both classes). Especially when vendors start to exaggerate with the prizes of hw (Titan, Titan Ultra if true and so on). It's always good to have "Class A" when people can do results with hw they mostly use for PRO Cup or WRs, and it's good for PR also - WRs, but when in some point vendors will simply overprize hw too high, more and more users will turn to Class B, which in fact is also fun :)

I thought during the voting poll, that it's only to have one category, solution with both classes is very nice.

FWIW: I support this event and hope for its success, but cannot spare the money to enter any scores :( (no MSI board)

May 12, 2013 at 6:29:11 AM UTC

Question, can I use 2500K for class B? Thanks :)

May 12, 2013 at 6:45:44 AM UTC

Yes.

May 12, 2013 at 7:36:35 AM UTC

Thought I would ask here as well as the Z77 section as this might get a bit more traffic.

I have a few 3570K's that are E1/L1 stepping and none of the current bios's allow the multi to change, anyone have a beta bios that might work with these?

May 12, 2013 at 10:11:56 AM UTC

Hm, seems like support for E1/L1 requires a microcode update. I'll check with MSI HQ tomorrow morning. The latest beta BIOS is H74, but I doubt that one works as it's from somewhere in april.

I did not have any problems with my E1/L1 other than that it sucks

maybe my motherboard had a different bios

May 12, 2013 at 4:15:00 PM UTC

Is this actually a new stepping?

May 12, 2013 at 4:29:14 PM UTC

I do not know

they also have another batch number

I have a 3241F513

May 12, 2013 at 4:31:56 PM UTC

New Stepping? I wasn't aware of this..

Did the 'S-SPEC' change? (the Sxxxx code)

CPUZ lists E1/L1 under Revision, still stepping 9 will post a screen in a bit.

The first two seem good 4c 4t 1.3-1.32 5Ghz 32M
