It's nice to help people in Japan with this competition
All credit goes to Kal-El from OCAlliance. HWBOT's just hosting the ranking
It's open to all, just check out the forums for more information: http://www.overclockaholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4249
Most gracious of OCA and HWBot.
I'm in!!
Having been there, I know that those at University are short on time to bench and funds to donate.
To make sure your basic needs are met while you bench, I'm putting up a case of Red Bull and a case of Top Ramen as a random drawing prize.
Is this US only?
Unless I've missed something, when I tried to do an entry in 32M Super PI, the page was asking for a videocard and we know there is no slot to enter that info since it's Super PI, not a 3D bench - Yet the page says my entry isn't complete for that reason.
Bug - Or does each person need an entry in both to complete things?
Please be certain to follow the rules by posting your submissions at OCA to be certain you qualify for any prizes. Don't forget the official wallpaper as well...
EDIT: You must also register at OCA to be eligible.
Yeah, go ahead and record your Lightning Bones, haha...
Oh, sorry. Not a bug, a human(*) error. Just fixed it.
(*): assuming you consider me human
Now why would I think otherwise?
Thanks for taking care of that.
You can be a funny guy sometimes. Lol
$5 minimum donation
$5 minimum, the more money raised the more we help the Earthquake victims
Don't forget guys... do not miss an entry just because you feel like you will not win, this contest has random prize drawings as well.
Thanks for setting this Supes and Massman.
*human? NEVAH!!!
Very cool. I'm in!
I'll post some scores later today.
Very good idea guys, i'm in for sure and I will motivate as many people as I can from my team to participate
lovely. i guess a 5970 card is eligable for 1st stage!
Heh, don't think it's supposed to be, there're multiple graphics processors on that thing.
Of course, it's also 3d01.
Hehe, sorry zoro, be sure to check complete list of contest rules here.
"- Any platform single cpu + single GPU (1 Graphics processor)"
To be eligible for grand prize and multiple random prize drawings you need to check here.
Contest prizes are as far reaching as paypal allows.
Who cares about prizes.. this is for the greater good... Top notch.. contest.. everybody should do it... !!!!!...
I'm down for fun, not interested in prizes however there is a slight issue, I can't register on OCA forums
Always belly aching about sumtin man
, registration is wide open during the contest bro no referal needed
, if its assembling the captcha puzzle thats preventing you from registering, take a screeny and I'll get my team of rocket scientist to work it out, ololololololol.
Kidding aside, c'mon mang, lets jam on this and knock one out for our fellow humans over in Japan facing this daunting and uncertain future!

OC4 Japan FTMFW!
You can still make a direct donation to CRASH here or any other organization to help make a difference in the lives of the Japan people who face a tremendous and continuing hardship after the horrific natural disasters on 3.11.11. Direct donations win warm fuzzy feelings inside but are not eligible for organized contest prizes.
Every little bit helps guys and gals, thank you to those who'm already exceeded the minimum $5 donation thru OCA's Contest.
Hit me again if anyone has trouble logging in, servers been a bit slow today.
Kal
am in.....gonna put up some scores on the weekends:D
too busy with law school:(
Awesome bro!, kick some ass in school mang
Please don't use your lawyer powers to sue hwbot for malpractice
.
Just donated.
A very generous and hearty donation from the Abhorrently evil braindead kind-hearted money-driven child-hating short-sighted cheating boy, Massman!
Bringing the list of OC4 Japan supporters to 19 and growing, very kick-ass guys!
Edit: make that 21!!!!!!

No problem =) lot's of work to manage that
First off, thanks a bunch Kal-EL and OCA for getting this organized. If none of you noticed, I have not had time for benching lately. And, I probably won't for some time. There's too much to do here.
I wanted to post and show you what many of you guys are donating your hard earned money for. These pictures were taken by my friend Martin. He has been to the disaster area 3-4 days a week, every week since the earthquake. The descriptions are also from him. He has been a missionary in Japan for 25 years, and I have been heavily involved in his ministry since I moved to northern Japan almost two years ago. But nothing like this new task. This is Martin:
Please keep in mind that we are only a small part of the CRASH organization, and there are dozens of other groups working on their own projects elsewhere in the area.
This first group of pictures were taken on his first trip to the area on March 16th-18th, just days after the earthquake.
This second group of photos were taken the 2nd week (March 19th-21st). The first was a rough survey. This week the focus was locating a property to use for a shelter, and coordinating the logistics.
March 23rd & 24th were spent at the church in Ofunato, cleaning it up, and getting it ready to support survivors. Here are a few pictures from those days.
Here is the latest update from about a week ago. We're still working hard to get things in place so that the people closer in the area can become self sustainable with what we're helping with, but we're anticipating that will still take months.
I have not been to the affected areas myself yet, but I plan to start making trips with Martin over the next few weeks. I'll keep you all updated as things progress, and I get a better idea of the specifics.
Again, if you'd like to take part (big or small) in helping us, please visit the CRASH Japan site here.
