RIP Traktor aka Alexey

On April 22, 2025, one of Team Russia's key members, Alexey Shubin, better known as Traktor, passed away.

He joined the HWBot overclocking community in 2015 and rapidly progressed from air cooling to LN2 benching. Ultimately, Traktor found his true calling in Hardware Points overclocking, preferring the calm and steady pace of chilled-water benching at home. With persistence and without rushing—true to his nickname "tractor"—over the course of 10 years, he benched more hardware than most people could manage in several lifetimes. As a result, with over 2000 gold cups, Traktor achieved third ranking in the HWBot Hardware Masters league among more than 200,000 overclockers worldwide, and he was first in the world in 3D Hardware Points.

Traktor had a congenital heart condition, which he attempted to treat at the age of 44, but unfortunately without success. Complications arose during his heart surgery, resulting in irreversible damage. Doctors managed to restart the "Traktor’s engine," but sadly, Alexey passed away a little over ten days later without ever regaining consciousness.

On behalf of Team Russia and the entire HWBot overclocking community, we deeply mourn this loss. We knew Alexey as a joyful, cheerful, cultured, and polite person who was always ready to lend a helping hand.

That is how we will always remember you.

Rest in peace, friend!

Rest in Piece, Traktor. He was once my Great Adversary in Enthusiast League. I remember his great scores which were pushing me to improve mine. His persistence was epic. I really breathed easier when he moved to Extreme. I remember trying to beat some of his scores. Very sad day for the community and for overclocking knowledge in the world as he was truly a Master of Graphic Cards on standard/water cooling. My condolences to the family.

Dude was and still is on top in so many places. I remember admiring Traktors scores shortly after starting my OC career. Massive collection. Drinks to you and rest in peace, Alexey!

Sorry to hear this. I looked at many of submissions and tried to compete. But like a tractor, he just chugged right along with top benchmark scores. Rest in peace fellow bencher. We all will miss you. ~Jon

This stings me hard. He was one of my greatest rivals, like the final boss always scoring out of reach for the gold cup. RIP you will be missed.

when i joined hwbot in 2023 with B760M and 12400F, me and Traktor were battling it out. He is the one that challenged me to get better scores, to dip my AiO in a bucket of ice water... I remember we were both doing CPU profile , he uploaded his score and mine was 1 point more. He was angry at first but later we talked a bit and from there on we checked out each others submissions. He was a real good guy and its a big loss to the community. RIP Traktor
