With that uncore, I think I'd gone Hyper and CL6-6-6-18. Even below 900MHz, you'd have good bandwidth with triple channel. TRCD is vital for X58.
Indeed, I was having issues booting even 1700 cas 7 though on air on this board. Didnt matter in the end
7-9-8 might have been better than 6-10-8 as well.
