CPU frequency matters a bit in GT1, but not at all in GT2/3.

 

Actually, it's more PCI-e to CPU bandwidth that matters.

I gained more from increasing the FSB 5MHz than increasing the CPU frequency with 125MHz in GT1 using my Athlon XP :).
