i spent half hour looking for 4890 Matrix ,does it exist ?

What kind of cooler does it have ?

And the last ,from were do you get these beauties :D ?

April 8, 2014 at 8:40:32 PM UTC

I got them from ebay.de and ebay.co.uk they have the same cooler as the 2 red fan top edition but they have a ram sink at the back. the top edition does not have ram chips on the back and the model name is nearly the same you wont find anything about them on the web. even not at asus site..

On the back there is written the amd core number and then the name states that it is a P. M. asus Card. Platinum Matrix.

It looks nice but unfortunately this is not the best 4890 card for OC, all mine cant reach 950 core with 1.3v. Asus want to make it durable but not cherry picked the cores so we all are fckd up :D Take me while and lot of $ to figure it out. I had info for 4 cards and at same time i had 2 referent that can do 1000+ and are way cheaper ;)

You can always replace the die, as long as the PCB is strong.

Not only core is the problem, memory is also trash far far away from referent card with Samsung chips. It is very rare to find card with good mem since Asus put 16 chips on card ;) or to change them too ? :D

Beatifull, my ~ 1200mhz water 4890 can do 1070mhz with stock volts on air (1.31v real MM back GPU), second one about 1065 with same conditions.

poparamiro, Asus non-ref like these or some other non-ref/ref card?

Because I have Matrix as well and it is not very good. My ref cards are better :/

April 9, 2014 at 11:59:47 AM UTC

Reference cards, that asus custom design not good for air/water.

I have two of them, no way 1100mhz 1.6v

April 9, 2014 at 12:03:47 PM UTC

Damn,everybody has 4890 Matrix and i didn't even know they exist :D.

Poparamiro's gem card is a xfx xxx Black edition from what i saw,a devilish beauty .

These Matrix cards are not as rare as I though some time ago, however it's all about binning or luck.

Higher chances with ref cards, I think.

I had ref that did about 1010 - 1020 on default voltage and 1120 1.475V on water. Mem was good for 1330 1.35V.

My Matrix can't touch this and last time I tried it on LN2 it was also not good, but I will revisit it some time.
