3 year and 7 months ago – This chip was missing all of the big caps on the bottom, so i decided to add 3x 22uF and see what happens... Gained at least 60Mhz over previous run :)

Very significant jump in clock! Confirms my theory of the importance of the underside caps.

I'd been thinking about cap modding one of these as a fun dumb project, might give me a good reason lol. Finally got one that does pretty ok ambient FSB, core is ok as well.

Not sure i would cap mod these, but if you have a 775 chip that clocks well and is missing many caps adding some back seems to be a good idea :)
