is the cpu still alive? very strong record

April 24, 2012 at 11:15:09 PM GMT

Not a single CPU died between me, pro, cookie, sin, jono, anyone i know benching subzero GIGABYTE boards before launch

i tried to kill a few CPUs actually, ran 1.9vcore vantage CPU tests, wprime etc etc. I smashed the VTT at 1.55v, smashed system agent at 1.55 or so cant recall now but stupidly high......still nothing. tried low and higher PLL, nothing

knock on wood but all alive and not degraded

i wouldnt encourage people do that though! I'm still careful what i do with a couple of my nicer chips just in case you know what i mean. I have heard others knocking off some CPUs with other boards so they will & do die. They are (seemingly) resilient however!
