Hey my discord is xhonorxxx
how did u tweak it to get this score? I have like 20-29% more headroom before thermal limits, if you can ofc if not have A good day/night!
@i714700F1 Get a mid tower case & a solid 360mm AIO. My mid tower has 10 PWM fans including the radiator fans & my top score of 12059 had a max temp of 76° with the same locked i7 14700F. I obviously have tight XMP settings, & a few things toggled off, but with my old case, just seeing a score of 11000 was super rare & my standard max temp was generally in the 86°-89° range. Just switching to that mix tower brought my average max temps down into the 70s with consistent scores between 11400-11900. Changing my 3 bottom intake fans to PWM (~$15-20 on Amazon for the 3 pack), it pushed me up into the 12000s.
Congratulations on beating my score, I'm still running my 14700f daily, Corsair 4000d frame case, I could add more fans but the cooling is excellent already.
Thanks man, I'm just trying to get what I can out of this locked chip. I had to get a new motherboard because the old one had the A2 DIMM slot break, so now I have to start all over lol. Getting close to the stability & numbers I had before, I upgraded to a better MB. FYI, steer clear of the ASRock B760M PG Riptide WiFi, I went through 3 due to broken RAM slots & Ethernet adapters that didn't function. The MSI Pro Z790-A WiF II is far more stable, even though it blocks access to some of the tuning options on locked Intel chips. It's a gaming rig, so I'm just trying to get the most out of it for Fps & stability. I'm not chasing numbers now, & have been using Cinebench R23 for the most accurate benchmark numbers, too I just needed a bigger case for the full-sized ATX board, so I got the Thermaltake View 380 at a great price with fans included which is why my max temps stay in the mod 70s. My old case & MB combo ran way too hot, & I've had a PC die after thermal paste got into the CPU socket & overheated, so thermals are always my main concern. Live & learn, I guess... Chase that #1 again if you ever get the itch to do so, I'm back to focusing on stability & gaming FPS/performance, so I'm only getting XTU scores in the 11600-11900 range, which is more than enough for what I need. Plus I switched to Cinebench R23 for benchmarking. The new MB doesn't allow any type of access to the BCLK like the old one, or anything related including SSC & ring to core offset ratio, so I'm most likely just staying where I'm at. You should try that version of Cinebench if you aren't already, it's super accurate & easy to use. Hope you have a good one. Cheers!
