four intel sockets and just one amd socket? :(

whats about 754, am2 or am3?

August 2, 2011 at 11:54:10 AM UTC

Sometimes it's a challenge for AMD fans, sometimes for Intel fans, sometimes for both fans ... every month a little bit different !

August 2, 2011 at 12:06:44 PM UTC

1156 would be much more fun than the limited sandy socket. :(

August 2, 2011 at 12:09:43 PM UTC

in the main area is written 1155 but in the stage5 description 1156?!

August 2, 2011 at 12:11:11 PM UTC

Woops! Typo!

August 2, 2011 at 1:42:37 PM UTC

That's "good news everybody"

I love 1156 :)

August 2, 2011 at 2:13:06 PM UTC

@Massman: i guess especialy the bclk-challange would be optimal for a challange for both "fans" ;)

August 3, 2011 at 8:27:10 AM UTC

nice :-) Geoffrey has my S462 mobo, and i have something in stock looking like a S478 mobo and a S775 mobo.

August 3, 2011 at 9:57:59 AM UTC

my s462 mobo doesn´t work .___.

i gues a 133mhz (my second s462) result is useless to submit, hm?^^

August 5, 2011 at 10:22:10 AM UTC

I love 1156 :)

then do it, I take care of s423, s462 and s478. If you can do LGA775 too would be nice, my rampage formula did only 660 mHz fsb last time

I know the rules don't state as much but do these need to be new benches/submissions or can we drag old CPUZ dumps out?

August 5, 2011 at 10:26:15 AM UTC

New bench usually for HOC

August 5, 2011 at 10:29:41 AM UTC

Was under that impression as well but they are popping up in the HOC. Fine if they are allowed I have a few I could use. Any thought to wallpaper for each challenge?

August 5, 2011 at 10:33:29 AM UTC

well, it's massman who has to decide, he will be back august 8th. wallpaper does nothing here as it's only cpuz link validation used, but there is the date of the validation in the cpuz validation link, so if new bench are mandatory, then we can easily moderate the old ones submited for HOC

August 5, 2011 at 12:36:47 PM UTC

The monthly challanges have always required fresh runs. I see no point in changing that now. If you have the hardware, run it. If you don't, bummer.

August 5, 2011 at 12:59:18 PM UTC

I checked older HOC and yes seems fresh/new runs are required

New runs please :)

, will ask massman to write it as mandatory in the rules.

Correcto.

New runs, fresh scores.

August 9, 2011 at 10:16:40 AM UTC

Will the old scores be removed from the competition or staying considering they were submitted before ruling was confirmed or posted on the rules?

August 9, 2011 at 10:20:31 AM UTC

They will be removed from the competition. Now.

August 9, 2011 at 7:10:18 PM UTC

damn, otherwise i'd have for now 1st place with S478 ;)

gonna oc that old S478, and then some :)

Are 1700+ Thoroughbreds not usable in this challenge? I keep getting an error telling me my entry is incorrect. CPUZ for what I'm submitting: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1947343

August 11, 2011 at 6:48:27 AM UTC

What kind of error ?

You need to run 1:1 and the new CPU-Z always throws back invalid on XP's don't sweat it.

August 11, 2011 at 1:27:43 PM UTC

cpu-z is having those problems with showing the double fsb (only in the verfication of course) since v.1.56.

i hope frank from cpu-z fixes that asap.
