Alza OC Cup 2017

Welcome to the Alza Cup, an Overclocking contest sponsored by Alza, Europe’s leading electronics retailer. The contest runs throughout the month of August 2017, inviting Europe’s leading overclockers to compete on four stages to win fantastic prizes.

The Alza OC Cup underlines Alza’s commitment to engaging with European PC enthusiasts and overclockers. The contest spans the month of August with four individual stages that will test your skills at pushing raw PC performance to the edge. Based in the Czech Republic, Alza has quickly grown over the last two decades to become Europe’s foremost electronics distributor.

Stages

General Contest Rules and Hardware

  • No brand restriction on mainboards and memory
  • Commercially available hardware only (no ES, no unreleased hardware)
  • The contest is limited to Intel cpus 1151/1150/1155 only
  • No cooling restrictions
  • No frequency limit
  • Open to european overclocker only
  • Open to all leagues
  • Please attach a picture of your overclocking rig
  • Must use official competition background
  • A verification screenshot is required for all stages
  • On benchmarks eligible, a verification link is mandatory (check stage rules)
  • To be eligible for the lucky draw, participants must submit in all stages of the competition
  • In a case of a tie, the tie-breaker is the best score in Stage 3. If there’s still a tie, the best score in Stage 2, etc
  • For prizes including Lucky draw and intermediate leader prizes please refer to the prizes tab
  • Only screenshots made on or after August 4, 2017 with official background will be accepted
  • Hwbot and Alza expect fairplay and reserve the right to remove entries without giving explicit reason if we suspect rules broken or unsportsmanlike conduct

Stage 4 Geekbench 3 Single Core

  • A verification link is needed
  • A screenshot with result (incl. launch app), CPU-Z cpu, mainboard and memory tab is required
  • In case of a tie, first submission wins


Mid-Contest Leader

The leader on Saturday August 19, 12:00 (noon) UTC, is awarded a Core i3 7350K processor, 2x Optane 16GB drive, Intel merchandising and a G.SKILL Trident Z DDR4-3600MHz 16GB(8GBx2).
