That is odd. I have not had such problems with CPU-Z except with really old hardware such as the first Pentium and K6 CPUs.

The only advice I can think of giving you is to check your chipset drivers, they might be the cause of the problem.

Also ask Antinomy for help, he seems to know allot about the inner workings of CPU-Z and hardware in general. :-)
